Durand Railroad Days Parade Entry Rules
1. The Durand Railroad Days parade committee reserves the right to reject/refuse any entry.
2. Animal units – please remember you are responsible for your own clean-up at the line-up area and along the parade route.
3. NO alcoholic beverages allowed on parade unit or in the line-up area.
4. For the safety of the spectators, we request that you NOT THROW anything from your unit. Items, like candy, can be passed out by your unit if you have walkers accompanying your unit.
5. Maximum unit height may not exceed 13 feet, 6 inches.
6. All walkers MUST REMAIN BETWEEN THE CURBS and must not enter the spectator area. This creates a slow down in the parade.
7. The Durand Railroad Days Parade will consist of walking/moving performances ONLY. No stopping will be allowed to promote for-profit, political or religious purposes.
8. The parade is announced live from the viewing stand at the corner of Saginaw and Genesee Streets. Be sure to wave at the announcers and perform as you make the turn.
The Durand Railroad Days Committee has the right to remove units from the parade if the above rules are not followed.
